This gorgeous moody botanical wedding shoot was inspired by Dutch masters
Dutch masters and their masterpieces keep inspiring people to create something, and today’s wedding shoot is one of these – inspired by moody tones and Dutch paintings.
The stylists wanted of a seamless blend of Dutch botanicals and a historic setting, all integrated with a dark and moody color palette. They also wanted old world and non-tradition to meet. The venue was the Campbell House, which is an 1822 heritage house and museum; it featured beautiful wood furniture, vintage old blue wash basin and floral wallpaper.
The whole setting was complimented the whimsy organic floral style of Hunt & Gather and the detailed filled gown by Narces. There was an oversized floral and herb installation as a wedding altar: semi-circular wedding altars are a hot trend and here you see one of them – bold and chic! I’m totally in love with the oversized floral centerpiece done with lots of herbs and icy pink and blush blooms, it really looks as if it’s a painted piece from some famous artwork. The hand painted plates and gold chargers added a refined touch to the setting.
The wedding cake was also a masterpiece: a black textural cake topped with real and sugar blooms and served with burgundy runner and black candles to fit the space decor.
The bride showed off a gorgeous black lace night gown with a sparkling headpiece and a fantastic black and gold sheath sleeveless wedding dress with sheer inserts. Her hair was done sleek and elegant, with a sparkly headpiece.
