This couple went for an art deco wedding in the south of France
This real wedding at Chateau de Sainte Cecile in the South of France is a perfect example of how to do old world romance if your style is more classic Hollywood movie star than storybook princess. Between the epic venue, the vintage-inspired bridal style, and the moody red florals, this is the kind of destination wedding that guests will be raving about for months!
Emma’s bridal look is just dripping with 1930s glamour! She wore a daringly dark lip, which works so well with those richly-colored florals. She was wearing vintage-inspired Gucci heels, and the snakes printed on the inside sole doubled as Emma’s something blue. The bridesmaids were wearing blush pink sparkling dresses with statement cowl backs. James chose a color palette of ivory and pale candy pink for the groom’s party – it’s such a cool, striking look, but one that you can only get away with in sunny climates!
The wedding was a stylish, relaxed day with a vintage feel. After the venue, the biggest priorities were food and music as they are big passions for the couple. The wedding ceremony space was in the garden, and you may see a gorgeous refined floral arch created for it. The vintage look of the day was echoed through antique vases and candle holders of mercury glass and subtle floral centerpieces. The couple made sure to include lots of personal touches, too, for example, the groom played guitar with the band for a song, and the couple had a macaron tower instead of a cake.
