Looking for unique inspiration, full of fantasies, fairies, magical characters and other stuff? Lina and Karl’s Swedish wedding was inspired by Grimm’s fairytales and the darker side of fantasy alluding to the real endings of the Grimm fairytales and the writings of H.C. Andersen, Midsummer Nights Dream, with nods to Tolkien, Norse and Greek mythology, Game of Thrones and hobbies of the couple.

The bride had her dress made by The Couture Company in the UK and the groom rocked a morning suit owned by his grandfather! The suit was customized a bit with feathers and some homemade little insects to match the wedding dress. The bride made his antlers too, in black and gold.

The most unique details were elf ears and antlers. The doors of the church were guarded by a werewolf and an albino elf warrior! The bride also did plenty of DIY. The place for cards was a decorative birdcage the bride found in a sale and sprayed the way she wanted it. The dressing up table had some masks, headbands and hats that she customized with paint and feathers to match the theme, so the guests, who didn’t dress up, could correct that and look fairytale-like. Though, I must say, most of guests were rocking amazing fantasy outfits, so they didn’t need it.

The wedding cake was a purple one, with edible branches, leaves and mushrooms. Drinks were served in bottles with tags like in some tales. Catch more unique details of this fantasy wedding below!
